Everyone knows that passwords are a necessity in the computer and internet world. It doesn’t matter if you are an IT professional or just a social media devotee, passwords will follow you wherever you are.
They are the ones that protect your sensitive data and keep your privacy out of other people’s reach, things such as your social networks and e-mail accounts, as well as more sensitive data, such as, for example, your bank accounts.
However, what if you end up in a situation where you have forgotten your password and you desperately need it for some reason?
Luckily, if you have used Google Chrome for access to these accounts and have saved your passwords, you can easily get to them and everything you need to do is the following.
How to Find Saved Passwords on Chrome
Finding your password in Google Chrome is a pretty straightforward process and consists of a few steps:
- First, you need to go to your “User Account” image and click on it.
- After that, in a newly opened window, go to the little black key, or “Passwords” and open it,
or type chrome://settings/passwords into the “Google Chrome Omnibox” and press “Enter”.
- Now, you will have a newly opened window with usernames and hidden passwords in front of you.
- Scroll down, until you get to the desired password. Click on it (black eye next to the password) and that is it.
(Note: If your Windows is protected by a password, you will be required to enter those credentials too)
Now you will be able to see your desired password.
