One of the key features of every browser is its ability to remember your browsing history and allow you to find the websites that you have previously visited relatively easy, in case you haven’t saved it for some reason. In that case, history is “help from heaven”.
However, what if you are not the only user of the computer and for some reason, you want to cover tracks, so to speak, or just want to have a fresh start.
In that situation, deleting your browsing history comes as the only option, and more importantly, it is pretty easy to do.
How to Clear History on Chrome
Cleaning your Chrome browsing history is a straightforward process and it consists of the following:
- First, enter Google Chrome customization options, or “Customize and control Google Chrome”.
- After that go to “More tools”
and left-click on “Clear browsing data”.
- In a newly opened window, select what sort of data you want to delete, choose the “Time range” to delete your data and left-click on “Clear data” … and that is it.
- Also, there is a faster option as well, and that is to use the Ctrl + Shift + Delete command on Windows, or Command + Shift + Delete on Mac and get to this window immediately. After this, you need to select the sort of data you want to delete, the “Time range”, and confirm all that by pressing the “Clear data” button.
Now, you have successfully deleted your browsing history.
