Bedroom furniture – what size bed should you choose?

One of the basic criteria here will of course be the number of users. However, even if you live alone, a single bed may not be a completely satisfying choice. Many beds of this type available on the market generally have a width of 80-90 cm. As a standard, it is assumed that the minimum width of a bed that will allow one person to sleep well is 90 cm. The conclusion is therefore quite obvious – something bigger will work much better.
Some manufacturers already consider a double bed to be 120 cm wide. In our opinion, for two adults this is definitely not enough, but for a single person it will be just fine. Although much more comfortable will of course be a slightly larger option, i.e. 140 cm wide. At the same time, it is also an absolute minimum for two adult users, but in fact, this solution is only worth reaching for when our bedroom is extremely small and a larger bed simply cannot be arranged. The individual characteristics of the users should also be taken into account here. Two slim people will find it easier to cope with such a sleeping area, for those more adventurous it may simply prove physically impossible.
However, it is customary to assume that the conditions for comfortable sleep for two adults are at least 160 cm wide. In fact, this is the most popular size, which in addition works in most bedrooms with an average size. However, if the size of the bedroom allows, something even bigger will not hurt. Here, it is worth mentioning the atuity, which have beds with a width of 180 cm and more – the construction solutions used in them very often give the possibility of placing 2 mattresses in the bed frame. This solution, in turn, allows for a better adjustment of the mattress to the individual parameters, needs and preferences of both users. And since we are talking about mattresses…
